Poor, Hachiko... The way I drew her pants, I made it look like she has a penis (maybe that what she's all "D:" about)
Comments are appreciated Some more comparison of coloring styles. I dunno. I feel like My lines are a little too bold for my usual coloring style sometimes. So which do you think I should go with more often to compliment my linework better? Cel Shading or just stick with what I got? Heehee.
Playing around with different coloring styles is always fun, but I much prefer your original CGing.
...'course, I have an aversion to cell-shading, so I'm probably biased. xD
... I do love this character, though. She's a pretty cool guy (it's a compliment srsly xD ).

This may be weird, But I prefer your regular style for the clothes, but I think CG looks wonderful for the skin.
Funny how I see this now, since I just started wanting to CG random things as of last night. XD
CG is really simple to learn IMO. Just the main thing needed is a good outline. But the mistakes are like so much more noticeable then doing a painterly style.
Woo, I rambled. Uhm, as far as advice goes, i think it be safe for you to make the shading more prominent on her skin. Like... you can add bigger shadows.. if that makes sense.
From what I seen, shadows under head (below chin on neck) is usually the darkest parts, , along with under armpits, or like the side of the waist. Basically any areas that usually are not exposed to light often tend to be the darkest shades.
As far as highlights go, nose, eyes, side of the face/cheek, the front of bulging muscles and so on.
But basically, don't be afraid to add large amounts of shading. You can also get away with blurring/smudging the edge of the shades a little. :B
Not sure if that helped but I hope it does some use. I went out of order so Uh, I dunno if it's confusing.
I dunno. for me it was hard in the begining since I had to learn exact shadow placement. Of course, at the time, I was also 13 at the time and just got photoshop, so you know that didnt go too well. (it wasnt until about a year or so later that I found out about the magical world of layers! X'D ) So I always kinda... feared it until recently.
If you're talking about how un contrasted the skin is on the painterly style, it's because I was admittedly a little rushy and lazy with it. I only used 2 shadow tones on it instead of my usual 3. Not to mention, I didnt use that second shadow tone in too many places. Ugh! I sound like I'm making excuses DX The improvement on clothes shading is from the advice you gave me earlier
I understand what you mean though, about both styles, I mean. I barely have any highlights on the Cel-shade and not enough shadow. And of course, we just went through the whole painter style thing ; Sorry for Rambling myself
I use Gaussian blur a lot on my cel shading. :3 You should see how much worse it is without it
Your Advice helped a lot, as always Thank You so much

I find painterly styles way easier to.. do. LOL I guess cause it's way more free hand and you can smudge abuse or whatever w/o it coming out weird. xD
AND LOL FOR BLURS. <3
